“Myanmar” is Nancy Langer’s most recent solo photography exhibition at Stride Arts Virtual Gallery showcasing her 2015 Myanmar trip. In this captivating series Nancy presents us with the vitality of Myanmar’s people and culture along with spectacular images of its nature and landscapes.

Artist Bio

Nancy traveled to all seven continents including most of the 50 states, avidly photographing wildlife, landscapes and many cultures.  She also enjoys shooting cityscapes and nature around her home of New York City. As she curtailed her long career in Physical Therapy she expanded her knowledge of photography by learning in classes, attending workshops and interacting new photography friends, amateur and professional.  

 

She produced a solo exhibit of her wildlife and landscape images at Beth El Synagogue in New Rochelle and is currently exhibiting several of her nature photos at the Stride Arts gallery in New York City where she also acts as a consultant.  She has also exhibited in several juried and non-juried group shows.  Nancy produced photo presentations of her adventures in Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands and also of the Pantanal in Brazil.  She recently created a YouTube video titled “A Photo Memoir of My Pantanal Adventure.”  Last year she published a book titled “My Life In the East 50s” including a history and images of her neighborhood in New York City.  Nancy recently produced a photo memoir of her trip to Myanmar that was live-streamed on Central Synagogue’s Facebook page. 

She is active in two photography groups in New York City: Professional Women Photographers and Sierra Photo NYC, a subgroup of the National Sierra Club where she serves on the board and just completed her 5th year as speaker coordinator. As a member of Central Synagogue she is part of a docent team and just recently accepted a leadership role for a new special interest group of Central Photographers.
