  • Art Description

This painting is directly inspired by the Waggle Dance the honeybees do to communicate the foraging locations for flowers, nectar and pollen. I begin by painting on the canvas on the floor and actually do the dance of the bees set to music. The canvas is then stretched when I believe it is done. This work is part of my ongoing series concerned with the complex and beautiful lives of honeybees. On the white area of the painting, I silkscreened the definition of FINE, which has several meanings, as in ok, fine art and the end as in a French film.
