Chu Okoli is a painter based in Houston, Texas. Drawing on the cyclical nature of life, he developed his unique painting technique that allows him to represent concentric circles in his paintings which reflect the way he perceives the universe. Each of the circles is painting free hand, and through these shapes Okoli hopes to unfurl a brand new way to narrate visual stories. Okoli has exhibited at the 2015 Florence International Contemporary Art Biennale, where he won the Medici Medal for Excellence in Painting, as well as the Houston-based Project Row Houses and the Bayou City Art Festival. He has also won a painting grant from the Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation in New York.
